Position:  Teachers: Lumberton, NC; Winston-Salem, NC

Job Description:  The Teacher plans and implements a comprehensive individualized education program for each juvenile resident on a year-round basis (up to eight youth at a time). The Teacher will operate the school program in compliance with all approval and accreditation requirements specified by the North Carolina Department of Non-Public Instruction. This includes, but is not limited to, recording daily classroom attendance, filing immunization records, and conducting an annual audit. Position: Assessment Psychologist: Butner, NC

Job Description:  

Our Juvenile Assessment & Crisis Centers serve boys and girls with histories of mental illness, neglect, trauma, or substance abuse. Referred by juvenile court counselors, youth stay 14 to 30 days for comprehensive testing and observation under the supervision of a licensed psychologist and licensed clinical case managers. They leave with a plan of care that maps out their strengths, areas of focus, goals, and services in their community that can help (therapy, counseling for substance abuse or mental health, educational/vocational training or other).

The Assessment Psychologist will support the implementation of Assessment Center protocols employed in service delivery, oversee psychological testing for clients, and ensure appropriate assessments are completed for individuals served. The person in this role will have the opportunity to work with three other licensed psychologists in consultation, research, and potential publications.

Position:  Residential Technicians: Jacksonville, NC

Job Description:  The Residential Technician position functions as part of the clinical team in our culturally sensitive Residential Treatment Level III setting. Job Description:  Assessment Counselors serve as the primary caregivers to youth being served by MHC’s juvenile assessment and crisis centers. They are responsible for engaging youth in a variety of activities to enhance the assessment process. Duties include implementing direct care services according to individualized service plans, engaging youth in assessment activities, implementing a non-punitive environment that motivates youth, and modeling appropriate moral, ethical, and professional values for youth.

Position:  Program Manager: Lumberton, NC; Winton, NC

Job Description:  The Program Manager is responsible for the on-site administration and supervision of program operations of the assigned group home. Responsibilities include programmatic supervision of the group home, as well as management of the home’s budget, staff, delivery of program services, coordination of volunteers, and relationships with service professionals, clients and their families, neighbors of the home and the general community.
